Being involved within the communities during the Holiday season is a high priority for a lot of our employees. Our employees find great enjoyment out of helping out those in need.
Along with our partner companies Stoneco of Michigan and Cadillac Asphalt, we gathered new, unwrapped toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Annual Toys for Tots program. Yearly, our companies collect donations for the Toys for Tots program and this year was record-breaking.
Leading up to December 2019, Michigan Paving & Materials employees collected 160 toys, including dolls and a tricycle. Together, the three companies collected 915 donations, 300 more toys than the previous year’s collection.
Since the program began in 1947, Toys for Tots estimates that it has supported around 258 million children, and has distributed 566 million toys. The toys collected by Michigan Paving & Materials, Stoneco of Michigan and Cadillac Asphalt were distributed by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to less fortunate children across southern Michigan over the course of December 2019.
