Summer 2021 saw the return of One Michigan's Intern Program. The program has students temporarily join the teams of Michigan Paving & Materials, Stoneco of Michigan, and Cadillac Asphalt in a variety of roles.
The One Michigan Intern Program has existed for more than 20 years. This year's team consisted of Taylor Dixon, MPM Construction Intern; Blake Wolf, Stoneco Credit & Collections Intern; Michael Vogt, Cadillac Construction Safety Intern; Jacob Staley, Cadillac Construction Intern; Rhiannon Lord, Cadillac HMA Operations Intern; and William Guzman, Stoneco Mine Engineering Intern.
The Interns spend May through August shadowing other employees and taking part in projects of all sizes. Many interns find full employment with Michigan Paving, Stoneco, or Cadillac after their internship ends.
On July 16, took part in a special Intern Bonding Day, where they all got together to go play Whirly Ball. On August 17, a luncheon was held where the interns shared their experiences with the One Michigan Management Team.
If you or someone you know is interested in signing up for an internship with one of our companies, keep an eye out for next year's postings on our websites this November!
**All safety precautions within the company and CDC guidelines were in place during the program and during the bonding day.
